Comment on 10 Ways You Can Actually Help Syrian Refugees by Melissa Moody https://blog.greatnonprofits.org/6-ways-you-can-actually-help-syrian-refugees/#comment-11100 Thu, 22 Oct 2015 17:16:12 +0000 http://greatnonprofits.org/nonprofitnews/?p=6991#comment-11100 Great article! I’ve been working with Days for Girls International for many years now, and my friend and I have recently embarked on getting a team started in Lebanon specifically to help the Syrian women there. We distribute volunteer-made feminine hygiene kits that are cloth– so although the women may have disposable pads donated from others, they can now have a reusable, sustainable supply of pads to rely on month after month. I’d love to partner with other NGOs that are already serving refugees to help distribute our kits.
I know there is also a group working on getting a team going in Turkey for the Syrian women there. I think Days for Girls could make a big impact for Syrian girls and women!
