Truist And GreatNonprofits Announce Partnership

Leading Provider of Corporate Philanthropy Solutions to Source Data from Top Charity Review Site

WASHINGTON, Dec. 16, 2013 –Truist, a leading provider of corporate philanthropy solutions, and GreatNonprofits, the largest social review site for charities, announced a partnership today to share data across their platforms.

“Our partnership with GreatNonprofits ties in with our commitment to provide our customers with easy access to a variety of qualitative and quantitative charity data,” said William B. Horne, President and CEO of Truist. “GreatNonprofits takes a uniquely social approach to how charities are evaluated, getting crowdsourced reviews similar to the ones used on sites like Yelp and Trip Advisor to help our users choose nonprofits.”

This partnership takes advantage of GreatNonprofits’ bi-directional API to integrate GreatNonprofits’ social review data into Truist’s software. GreatNonprofits’ data set currently consists of nearly 200,000 user-generated reviews on over 17,000 nonprofits, making it the largest crowdsourced review site specifically for nonprofits.

“Truist has one of the most extensive client lists in the industry, and we are thrilled that our reviews are able to reach their clients and influence their charitable giving decisions,” said Perla Ni, Founder and CEO of GreatNonprofits. “Truist has shown us that they are truly committed to incorporating user reviews and crowdsourced information about nonprofit organizations into their product lines.”

In addition to having access to the data for decision making purposes, Truist’s users will also have an opportunity to add their own reviews to the database. The end result is a more robust employee giving solution incorporating real-time reviews and feedback.

The full implementation of GreatNonprofits’ data in Truist’s software suite is planned to be completed in 2014.
