GreatNonprofits Publishes 2013 Top-Rated Charity List

This Season of Giving when most Americans donate and volunteer for nonprofits, GreatNonprofits, the largest nonprofit review site (like a Yelp for Nonprofits) announces the 2013 GreatNonprofits Top-Rated List.  Over 1,400 nonprofits ranging from national nonprofits to local nonprofits are on the list.  In 2013, an expected $375 billion[1] is expected to be donated to nonprofits.  The Top-Rated List of nonprofits helps donors find worthy charities.

Unlike other charity awards, the Top-Rated award winners were selected entirely by people who have had direct experience with the nonprofit . The volunteers, donors and people helped by the nonprofit. “This way,” says founder and CEO, Perla Ni, “the charities get valuable feedback from the public they serve. The reviews and ratings span 32 issues such as animals, the environment, women’s issues, education, health, art and more.
